How to make press on nails with acrylic
- First, gather your supplies: acrylic liquid and powder, a mixing bowl and stirring stick, press on nail tips, nail glue, a nail file, and a nail buffer.
- Begin by preparing your work surface. Cover it with a protective layer, such as a piece of wax paper or a plastic mat.
- Next, mix the acrylic liquid and powder according to the package instructions. This will create a thick, dough-like consistency.
- Using the stirring stick, scoop a small amount of acrylic mixture onto the press on nail tip. Smooth and shape the acrylic using a nail file or the back of the stirring stick.
- Repeat this process for each nail tip.
- Once all of the nail tips are coated in acrylic, allow them to dry completely. This may take several hours or overnight.
- Once the acrylic is dry, use the nail buffer to smooth and shape the surface of the nails.
- Finally, apply a small amount of nail glue to the back of each press on nail tip. Press the nail tip onto your natural nail, starting at the center and working your way outwards. Hold the nail in place for a few seconds to allow the glue to set.
